Toddington Amphora
Toddington is another area which has been rich in archaeological finds for the Littlehampton area, there are kilns, corn drying ovens, and other signs of industry beneath the surface of the ground. This amphora was found in Toddington, and has been partially reconstructed - we do not recommend trying this at home!
The amphora has a relatively narrow neck but it is also short, which does not lend itself well to control whilst pouring, it was probably used to hold water as this was not so much of a problem if it spilt on the floor.
