To the right you can see the premises of William Dyer, who was a successful draper and tailor. Legend has it that he once mended Queen Victoria’s riding cloak, when it got torn during a ride at Arundel Park. For this reason, Dyer went on to display the Royal Coat of Arms above his shop.
