In the early 1990s we welcomed the Rustington Bypass, as a result, a huge catalogue of archaeological evidence was deposited into our archive which is rich in material such as pot sherds (from multiple time periods), stone tools, clay pipes, and anything else you could ever possibly hope to find on an archaeological investigation!
Here is just a small sample of some of the pot sherds this huge infrastructure project produced! Plenty more is still in storage, sometimes large scale development projects are the only way that these sorts of sites get recorded.
